Making Faces with Kristen Stewart - Celeb Movie

Making Faces with Kristen Stewart - Celeb Movie

She's Got the Look(s)
Kristen Stewart gets slammed by people complaining that all she does is scowl and bite her lower lip, but that accusation is simply unfair. KStew has plenty of looks up her sleeve ranging from the goofy to the sarcastic to the, well, you'll see.

Shock and Awe
What could have possibly sparked this aghast reaction from Kristen Stewart? Chances are she was just recalling the fact that her boyfriend once looked like this.

Can You Hear Me Now?
That poor Todd Phillips lookalike just wanted to be left alone. Kristen had other ideas.

If there's anything Kristen Stewart loves more than making movies, it's showing off her middle finger. What a rebel.

Trailer of the Week
The Great Gatsby

We got our first glimpse of one of the most-anticipated films of the year this week. The glimmering one, Baz Luhrmann, has truly made F. Scott's Fitzgerald's tale of the roaring '20s his own. The trailer starts off like early 2000s Scorsese as we fly into New York City and enter one of Gatsby's legendary parties. The trailer takes off with the help of Jack White's cover of U2's "Love is Blindness," which tears through the background. The pageantry and glamour are pure Luhrmann, who seems born to breathe life into Gatsby. With a tendency to overdramatize, some critics worried about the Moulin Rouge director's ability to adapt the classic novel. The trailer doesn't exactly assuage these concerns, but the presence of Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, and Tobey Maguire as the film's leads should help balance them out. This may be another Oscar-worthy turn for Leo, especially.

Blu-ray of the Week
We Need to Talk About Kevin

Lynne Ramsay's haunting portrait of the life of a school shooter and his mother, who deals with the fallout of her son's murderous rampage. The film is highly stylized and full of imagery, which Ramsay uses to punctuate the dreariness, so to speak. Featuring a sharp, somewhat ham-handed performance by Ezra Miller as Kevin, put this one on your "do not watch while alone" list and freak yourself out this weekend.

The word on Moonrise Kingdom, Les Miserables

(FameFlynet Photos, Pacific Coast News)

This week brought the first glimpses of two prospective Oscar films: The Great Gatsby (see above) and Les Miserables, Tom Hooper's (The King's Speech) adaptation of the classic Victor Hugo play. Yes, this version of Les Mis will be a musical and, if there's anything the trailer proves, it will also be very cinematic. Featuring many moving parts, Hooper looks to be going all out in his quest to update the tale of convict Jean Valjean (played by Hugh Jackman). Hooper's camera has never been more alive and this film looks like a throwback to the classic Merchant Ivory productions of the early '90s (Howard's End, The Remains of the Day). Look for Hooper to collect his second Best Director nomination for this one.

The first film on our list of prospective Oscar favorites will debut this week. Moonrise Kingdom, Wes Anderson's Cannes-opening ode to love, does not disappoint. Containing many of the themes (parentless children, infidelity) and styles (dollhouse set cross-sections) of his past films, Moonrise manages to stay unique with its romantic depiction of two youngsters who would rather risk it all and run away than stay miserable living their current lives. Critics are nearly unanimous in praise of the film which could spell Oscar gold for Anderson. He has previously been nominated for Best Original Screenplay for The Royal Tenenbaums and for Best Animated Feature for Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Best Soundtrack Songs: Guilty Pleasure Edition

Best Soundtrack Songs: Guilty Pleasure Edition
Best Soundtrack Songs: Guilty Pleasure Edition

Many of the largest hits of the past many decades were created explicitly for film soundtracks, with fans forever associating their favorite singles with movie moments raw and romantic, terrifying and traumatic. Incidentally, several of those mega-hits are ridiculously over-the-top confections that cannot be taken seriously out of context. and that they are awesome.

Whitney Houston's "I can invariably Love You" does not fall into this class for 2 reasons: It wasn't originally composed for film use, as Dolly Parton 1st recorded it in 1973, and Houston's version is thus fantastically executed, it is not honest to associate it with level four cheese (even if the movie it accompanied was your typical popcorn thriller).

Ladies and gents, these are the most effective and cheesiest original movie soundtrack songs.

1. "If You Leave" by Orchestral Maneouvers within the Dark
Pretty in Pink

John Hughes' 1986 classic includes an on-screen performance by New Wave heroes the Rave-Ups, furthermore as Jon Cryer's finest onscreen moment to the tune of Otis Redding's "Tenderness." however its official soundtrack's shining star is "If you allow," otherwise called the song that plays when Molly Ringwald's character stares down her made ex-boyfriend in a very homemade pop-tart dress simply before they begin creating out in a very rainy parking zone. The music video is way less memorable than its movie moment, with shots of a mournful-looking Briton singing within a moon and knocking heart-shaped blocks out of a wall.

2. "Up Where we have a tendency to Belong" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes
An Officer and a Gentleman

Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes' duet was reportedly slightly too soupy for an official and a Gentleman producer Don Simpson, who wished the song replaced with Jeffrey Osbourne's "On The Wings of affection." Simpson—who allegedly wasn't an exponent of the film's lead, Debra Winger, either—was overruled, that is how this song earned its permanent association with Richard Gere, military whites, and sweeping sentimentality. Your mom totally loved it.

3. "We do not want Another Hero (Thunderdome)" by Tina Turner
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome

Tina Turner's comeback was in full thrust when she co-starred within the post-apocalyptic Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, slipping on chain mail and a few really kooky wigs to play Aunty Entity, the ruthless ruler of Bartertown. Turner bolstered the recognition of the film along with her anthem for the downtrodden, that featured a sax thuslo so triumphant, somebody bothered to compile a five-and-a-half minute compilation of all the snazziest live versions. The mid-'80s were a good time for the sax solo, see.

4. "I Believe I will Fly" by R. Kelly
Space Jam

R. Kelly had the largest hit of his career in 1996 with the overwrought area Jam ballad "I Believe I will Fly." sadly, neither of Kelly's subsequent soundtrack songs (Batman & Robin's "Gotham City" and Life's "Fortunate") packed enough melodrama to charm audiences. however who might forget this music video, that options a pensive-looking Kelly wildly gesticulating within the middle a golden cornfield? nobody with a heart, that's who. It's price noting that there is no means R. Kelly would ever be asked to put in writing the theme song for a kids' movie recently.

5. "Theme from Shaft" by Isaac Hayes
Shaft

The late Isaac Hayes was the primary African yank to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song with "Theme from Shaft" in 1972. The song was arguably a lot of widespread than the film, because it shot to No. one on the Billboard Hot one hundred despite raunchy lyrics a couple of "black personal dick / who's a sex machine / to all or any the chicks," arguably paving the means for the '70s disco inferno. When John Singleton directed a Shaft sequel starring Samuel Jackson in 2000, its theme song was its lone saving grace.

6. "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith
Armageddon

Anyone who was in middle faculty within the late '90s spent a good quantity of your time shuffling around in circles to the current song, higher called 1998's go-to slow jam. The Diane Warren-penned track additionally created Aerosmith relevant to an entire new crowd of children, even though it lost the Academy Award for Best Original Song to "When You Believe" from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack.

7. "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" by Bryan Adams
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

Once upon a time, Bryan Adams might do no wrong. The zenith of the Canadian rocker's popularity coincided with Kevin Costner's personal peak, that is why Adams' power ballad "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" packed such a hearty chart-topping punch in 1991, when it had been featured in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The song was a lot of successful than the movie within the long run: Fans are a lot of seemingly to recollect the slick Canadian tuxedo Bryan wore during this music video than the mullet Costner sported to play Robin Hood.

8. "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor
Rocky III

The world might need been while not the schlocky genius that's "Eye of the Tiger" had Sylvester Stallone been able to secure the rights to Queen's "Another One Bites the dirt." fortunately, he wasn't, and therefore the action star was forced to commission an anthemic pump up jam from Chicago's Survivor. a couple of years later, the band had its second biggest hit with "Burning Heart," a song written for 1985's Rocky IV. It pays to grasp Sly.

9. "Flashdance... What a sense" by Irene Cara
Flashdance

No one appeared to mind the wonky title of 'Flashdance... What a Feeling," which incorporates an unnecessary elipsis and a fair less necessary reference to the Jennifer Beals film during which it had been featured. The song was Irene Cara's second major soundtrack hit, as she'd previously garnered attention for the title track to FAME (Remember! Remember!). Sadly, Cara's efforts on the soundtracks for D.C. Cab (starring Mr. T) and town Heat (starring Burt Reynolds) did not fare quite thus well.

10. "My Heart can Go On" by Celine Dion
Titanic

It's arduous to overstate the impact Titanic had on widespread culture in 1997, when James Cameron's splashy disaster film dominated all media for over a year. most traditional folks cannot stand paying attention to Celine Dion's breast-beating ballad anymore for simply that reason: The song's pervasive international popularity was ulltimately damning. Neither the film nor the movie have aged well, because the decades have highlighted blistering, insincere sentimentality in each, however return on. you continue to apprehend all the lyrics.

What's New in Theaters This Weekend: March a pair of, 2012

Dr. Seuss' The Lorax
Directed by: Chris Renaud, Kyle Balda
Starring: Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Danny DeVito

Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me) is that the newest production house to squash a Dr. Seuss book and spit it out as mainstream entertainment. This adaptation took several licenses, together with adding a trifle love story to the environmental theme of the fable. So far, there has not been a legitimately sensible Dr. Seuss film (The original animated Grinch being the lone exception) thus it's uncertain this one can break through. These movies are usually corny as hell and a virtual assault on the senses. I do offer credit, however, to whoever thought to solid Danny DeVito because the Lorax. Inspired.
See it? No.

Jenelle Evans on Arrests: All Out of Spite! » Celeb News

Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans gets in almost as much legal trouble as DMX. Yet the North Carolina malcontent insists she's the victim of spiteful law enforcement officials.

Evans, who was involved in a melee with her roommates on last night's Teen Mom 2 (below), was arrested twice LAST WEEK after a fight she had with her roommates.

Different roommates: Hannah Inman and former boss James Duffy.

If nothing else, you can count on Jenelle Evans not to sugarcoat anything. In an interview with E! News, she set the record sort-of straight about her recent woes.

Jenelle Evans Fights Roommate on Teen Mom 2

"I actually am confused about the arrest from last week," Evans said. "I haven't contacted Hannah or Duffy in a month, and I was the first to press charges."

"I think they are trying to charge me with things out of spite.

"Hannah does not own a cell phone either so there's no way I could of harassed her with phone calls. I never threatened Hannah. I guess she claims I'm a threat."

"All that does, it just makes me laugh, because I moved 45 minutes away from her three weeks ago to get away from the drama and be closer to school."

Jenelle's second arrest came, according to Duffy, when Evans refused to take down a naked picture of Hannah on Facebook, violating a protective order.

"I didn't post any naked picture of Hannah. I have four admins on my Facebook. One of them must've posted it. I didn't even know it was posted," Jenelle says.

"After I got arrested, I searched for it and deleted it. I really don't understand any of these charges. Duffy is using Hannah to his advantage, I believe. He is forcing her to do this. It's a known fact, or else she will be on the streets."

Her relationship with Duffy has weighed heavily on her health.

"I have to go back to the psychiatrist; I feel like I'm about to have a nervous breakdown. It's constant harassment, arresting me for petty things. That's why my probation officer hasn't violated me for probation. She knows it's not my fault."

Evans, who is on probation for the ass-whomping she unleashed on Britany Truett last summer (below), also claims that Duffy has cyber-stalked her.

"Duffy is also jealous of my manager and mad that Hannah won't give it up to him," Jenelle continues. "This is very disturbing to me, because she is only 19 and he is 46. I wish she would see how dangerous he is and move out."

Everything else in Jenelle's life seems to be pretty good at least.

She doesn't "talk to Kieffer at all," and is very happy with her new boyfriend, Gary Head, who "doesn't mind about my legal troubles because he knows they are false and he sees me climbing higher and higher." Umm, sure.

Jenelle also says she is staying focused in school, practicing the medical field and sees her son Jace "every second I can." Yeah right.

As far as her relationship with her mother, Barbara, she says simply, "As long as I don't live with my mom then we get along." Now that we believe her on.

Mission Impossible Expected To Cruise To Another Box Office Win

With no new films opening wide this weekend, Mission Impossible -- Ghost Protocol should have no difficulty climbing to the top of the box office again over the New Year's weekend, according to box office pundits.

They're predicting that it will earn about what it did over the Christmas holiday -- $44.1 million -- it not a little more. The same goes for last weekend's No. 2 and No. 3 films, Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows and Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked .

Opening in New York and Los Angeles in four theaters, the Margaret Thatcher biopic The Iron Lady , starring Meryl Streep, is expected to be the clear winner on a per-theater basis.

Paul Bettany had a ''hideous'' time working on 'Dogville' and says he only agreed to appear in the film because his friend Stellan Skarsgard tricked him into thinking it would be fun.

Stellan Skarsgard tricked Paul Bettany into appearing in 'Dogville'.

The 40-year-old actor agreed to appear in Lard von Trier's movie after his friend told him being on set was like a constant party - only for Paul to have a "hideous experience" as it was nothing like his pal had claimed.

Paul said: "It was a hideous experience. I did it because Stellan f***ing Skarsgard fibbed to me. He said, 'You gotta turn up, it'll be fantastic, it's like a party all the time.'

"And after three weeks and not one bit of fun, I said, 'Stellan, what were you talking about?' And he said, 'Man, I was making it up - I just couldn't face doing it without you.' "

Paul found working on the movie particularly tough because he felt like the director's "puppet" as he was allowed no input into the film.

He explained: "I found it a particularly unsatisfying experience because Lars has no interest in you being any part of the cerebral process with him. You're absolutely his puppet.

"But I don't want to be too down on Lars. He is extraordinary and he is a sensation."

Brad Pitt Values Longevity In Film

Brad Pitt thinks the most important thing to consider in a movie project is ''longevity'', so regards filmmaking as like a ''fine wine''.

Brad Pitt wants to make movies like "fine wine".

The 'Moneyball' actor believes it doesn't matter if a film doesn't win top awards when it is released, as the key to a good project is one that ages well and will stand the test of time.

He said: "Filmmaking is about longevity. Is it a quality picture? A quality story? Is there something original about it? The thing we miss the most is the degree of difficulty, like in 'The Tree Of Life'.

"Just to aim for something like that - I think there's a quiet victory in the degree of difficulty there beyond what's going to be in the record books as the best picture of the year.

"Films that I've loved doing like 'Jesse James' and 'The Tree of Life', they're 'fine wine' pictures - they'll age well. They've got legs."

Brad doesn't like to take risks in his career but believes he has made "smart" choices with his movie projects.

He said: "I think of, say, Cary Grant who made a career of doing similar things all the time, and I love him every time I see him, but it's not for me. My choices have been smart, not risky."

Celeb Movie » Prometheus Trailer: An Epic Space Odyssey Begins

The trailer for Prometheus has arrived, and the latest space odyssey from director Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner) looks like it may live up to its considerable hype.

From this introductory look, the film bears some resemblance to Alien - not just with its stunning, otherworldly visuals, but its theme of desperation against rising odds.

Many think the film is a prequel to Alien, a theory Scott denies, but it could be something of a companion piece, a film that exists in a parallel universe. Just a theory.

Starring Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace, the film touches down in theaters summer 2012. Here's the Prometheus trailer ...

Celeb Movie » ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’ Finally Hits U.S. Borders

Tom Cruise has been traveling the world premiering his new M.I. movie: Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and finally it was time for the U.S. premier, which was held at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York.

Guess who finally got the privilege of standing beside the big, fancy, Tom Cruise – his wife!

Katie wore a navy, polka-dotted, sheer Holmes & Yang, long sleeved dress with a layered skirt to the premier, which complemented Tom’s navy suit and tie. In case you didn’t recognize the label, Holmes & Yang is Katie’s upscale line of clothing.

Katie’s outfit from afar looked simply mediocre to me. Honestly, I usually laugh at every pic of Katie because of her half-cocked smile and do-it-herself hair style; however, the close-up pics showed Katie’s glowing skin and beautiful make up, which was only complemented by the color of her dress and the sheer material by her face.

Check out some of the pics of Tom and Katie and the rest of the cast on the red carpet at the NY premier:
