Emma Stone enlisted the help of her rumored boyfriend Andrew Garfield for her second stint as host of Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The actress took the reins of the sketch comedy show and kicked off the show with a humorous monologue about her forthcoming flick 'The Amazing Spider-Man'.

Much to the audience's surprise, Stone brought out British actor Garfield, the star of the forthcoming movie, and the pair joked about the United States outsourcing acting jobs to England. The actress also hit back at the 'haters' who have questioned the point of remaking the Spider-Man movies and delivered a sarcastic joke about the necessity of making 'the exact same movie'. Directed by Marc Webb, 'The Amazing Spider-Man' stars Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Denis Leary - Stone plays the movie's love interest, Gwen Stacy. Although the show received the lowest rating of the 37th series of Snl, the critics weren't overly damning of Stone's performance, with The Orlando Sentinel's Hal Boedeker saying, "Host Emma Stone was lovely and game in an average episode of the Nbc show". Hitfix.com critic Ryan MCGee suggested some sections of the show worked better than others, saying, "Rather than let Stone drive the monologue, Snl sends Andy Samberg to drop in (literally) and audition for the role of Spider-Man.Not much for Stone to do in this besides stare at Samberg trying to flip while strapped into a flying harness".

Stone and Garfield have reportedly been dating since June 2011, although they have rarely been spotted out in public together.
