Singer Monica is eager to expand her family by having a baby with American basketball star husband Shannon Brown.

The Boy Is Mine hitmaker began dating the Los Angeles Lakers star after he played her love interest in her music video for Love All Over Me in 2010.

They secretly wed a year ago (Nov10), with Monica confirming the nuptials in January (11), as she was planning a second marriage ceremony.

Brown, who has a child from a previous relationship, became a stepdad to Monica's two sons Rodney and Romelo, and the R&B star is keen to expand her family.

She tells GlobalGrind.com, "Absolutely (we want a baby). I'm young, he's young and we want to have that between the two of us, but right now we are enjoying the three that we have blended together."
