Actor Russell Tovey has become the third star to quit hit British TV show Being Human.

Tovey, who played a werewolf on the sci-fi show, has announced he'll depart the Bbc series after three seasons.

He took to Twitter.com to announce the news over the weekend (12-13Nov11) and wrote, "You may or may not know by now, but I am leaving Being Human officially. Thought you should all know. I'm sorry."

The news follows the departure of Aidan Turner, who quit the internationally acclaimed series to join the cast of Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit in New Zealand.

Tovey admitted that filming the fourth season without his former castmate "felt strange".

He'll be replaced on the show by actor Damien Molony.
