Bradley Cooper Strips Down in "The Elephant Man"

Former "Sexiest Man Alive" Bradley Cooper showed off a different side to himself when he took the stage at the Williamstown Theatre in Massachusetts over the weekend.

The 37-year-old actor played Joseph Merrick in a revised version of "The Elephant Man," a play in which the lead role suffers from extreme deformities.

The "Hangover" star's good looks were a bit distracting as he graced the stage showing off an extremely toned, bare body while acting out scenes in his underwear. He also captivated the audience in a wool vest and trousers paired with a white shirt and tie.

Cooper is starring in the Scott Elis directed play alongside fellow Patrici a Clarkson, who is best known for her role in the 2003 film "Pieces Of April," and "Jurassic Park 3" star Alessandro Nivola.

Bradley spoke about the famous play when he recalled memories of his late father and said, "My father was a huge cinephile. I remember watching Raging Bull with him on cable when I was 10 and, when I was 12, him showing me 'The Elephant Man' and 'Apocalypse Now' - all these crazy movies."

He went on to add, "We used to play this game, "Would you put him in the movie?" We'd pretend we were putting together this great film and decide whether an actor was worthy to be in it. It was this adorable father/son thing."

"The Elephant Man" will run at the Willamstown theatre until August 5th.
