Miley Cyrus said she was going for a "simple" look on the red carpet Wednesday night, but let's face it: her cleavage-baring black dress, stunning engagement ring, and sleek new 'do were anything but simple. So why did the 19-year-old reigning Queen of Short Shorts attempt to tone it down a notch?

Well, the night was all about her soon-to-be husband, Liam Hemsworth. The actor won the Breakthrough honor at the Australians in Film Awards, the couple's first red carpet event since announcing their engagement a few weeks back.

During his acceptance speech, Hemsworth talked about Cyrus and their start as co-stars in The Last Song. Then, he fumbled and said they were married. “I was fortunate enough to get called back in to read with my now fiancée, who I recently got engaged to… and we read together and fell in love and now we're married," he said.

Hemsworth quickly caught himself, adding: "We're not married yet...but we will be." Hmm.

When directly asked about the wedding plans, Hemsworth told reporters: "It's all a secret right now."
