Keith Urban Leads Aria Nominations


Australian country star Keith Urban is among the nominees for the country's upcoming Australian Record Industry Association (Aria) Awards.

The four-time winner has landed three nominations for this year's (11) prizegiving in categories for Best Country Album, Highest Selling Australian Album, both for Get Closer, and Most Popular Australian Artist.

Nick Cave has also won a handful of nominations with his Grinderman band, for Best Group and Album Of The Year and Best Adult Alternative Album for 2.

The other nominees include Guy Sebastian, Birds of Tokyo and Boy & Bear.

The awards will be handed out at a ceremony in Sydney on 27 November (11).
